The AGM of the Rural Science Association was held on Monday 23rd April in NUI, Maynooth. The following officers were elected.

Chairman- John Moran,
Secretariat - Jim Maguire and Paddy Fitzpatrick,
Treasurers - Dermot Leavy and Kathleen Grennan,
PRO's -Nicholas Duff and Aidan Cruise.

The Minister for Community, Equality and Gaeltacht Affairs, Pat Carey TD, has welcomed the increased allocation for the Rural Development Programme (Ireland) for 2011.

The AGM of the RSA was held in Ballinakill, Co. Laois on Saturday November 20th, 2010.

Prior to the AGM, members visited a visitor attraction in the Cullahill Mountains where a local development group has established a trail for hill walkers. Members got to walk some of the route.
